Sarah Mahoney is the digital healthcare practice manager at Weber Shandwick public relations. Sarah is responsible for developing and implementing digital health engagement campaigns and online communities for a variety of healthcare clients, including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and health systems, and non-profits.
Previously, Sarah was the online community manager for Boston Children’s Hospital’s internal social collaboration site designed to inspire and support clinical innovation. Sarah managed all aspects of the community including training, promoting, managing, and maintaining the technology platform.
Sarah has also worked as a social media strategist for Bernard Hodes Group (Omnicom Group) northeast digital team and as a new media associate for AIDS.gov at John Snow Inc. public health consulting firm. She previously blogged for a global social networking initiative designed to encourage healthcare marketing communications professionals to further their education, collaborate and share knowledge.
Sarah has a BS in Health Ecology from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Masters of Public Health from Boston University concentrating in health communications and social marketing.
